Dialogic's MSI Modular Station Interface board incorporates a variety
of analog devices, such as local type 2500 telephones, into computer telephony
systems based on the industry-standard PEB (PCM Expansion Bus) architecture.
This board is compatible with PEB-based products that operate using the
North-American-based PEB standard (1.544 Mb/s transmission rate, µ-law
PCM coding) and the European-based PEB standard (2.048 Mb/s transmission
rate, A-law PCM coding). With the MSI board, applications can be extended
to incorporate live agent stations or third-party-add-on technology. A conferencing
feature enables applications to establish conferences between any of the
time slots on the PEB and the station devices connected to the MSI board.
The MSI board is an AT form factor board with a 16-bit bus that installs
in an AT (ISA) expansion slot. |
